The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong), more commonly known as the SPCA (HK), is the region’s longest-standing and Hong Kong’s largest independent animal welfare charity. Our mission is to enhance animal welfare by not only preventing cruelty to animals but also promoting an animal-inclusive society through education.
For over a century, we have continuously launched new initiatives to achieve our mission. These include managing well-run adoption centres for homeless animals and actively controlling animal population through affordable or even free desexing programmes. In addition to the seven animal clinics, the SPCA (HK) operates an animal welfare vehicle and a mobile clinic, several of which are equipped with surgical facilities to provide care for companion animals throughout Hong Kong. A new centre, which will be one of Southeast Asia's largest welfare and education hubs, is also on the horizon to expand the scale and scope of our services.
