Anne-Claire Duchaussoy
Internal Medicine Specialist,
Beecroft Animal Specialist & Emergency Hospital
Singapore
Anne-Claire obtained her DVM from the Ecole Nationale Veterinaire d’Alfort (Paris), one of the four Veterinary School of France, in 2007. She then completed a general rotating internship and a medical internship in the same institution. She passed the medical certificate, and a cardiology certificate and worked for 2 years, as a medicine clinician, in a busy referral centre in the north of Paris where her interest in and skills in ultrasonography and echocardiography grew significantly. She moved to Melbourne Australia in 2011 and after one year as an emergency and medicine clinician at the university, she started an ACVIM-accredited (small animal) internal medicine residency at Melbourne University. She successfully completed her program, passed her examination in the US and is an ACVIM diplomate since 2015. During her residency, she particularly worked on confocal endomicroscopy, GI endoscopies and echocardiography. She has set up the medicine service at Southpaws Specialty Surgery and Emergency Hospital in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and worked there until she left for Singapore with her family at the end of 2018. This experience confirmed her interest in imaging as an important and intricate tool of internal medicine practice and her interest in interventional radiology. She has, since then, worked in Singapore as a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist; as a mobile vet and also at the Beecroft hospital since September 2021. Anne-Claire enjoys taking care of her patient, and sharing with the general practitioners while working mobile and collegial work in a speciality hospital. She has a special interest in imaging, endoscopy and interventional radiology. Outside work, she is a very serious runner and yoga teacher. She loves fashion, coffee and baked goods and spending time with her husband, 2 boys and furry family.
