Dr Rina Maguire has close to 20 years experience working with birds, exotic species and wildlife. She is a Diplomate of the American board of Veterinary Practitioners certified in Exotic Companion Mammal practice. She graduated from Sydney University in 2006 and then proceeded with her specialist training in New York. She has worked in referral and specialist avian and exotic animal clinics in Manhattan and Long Island, New York. Dr Rina was also a Zoo and Avian Veterinarian at Singapore Zoo and Jurong Bird Park for two and a half years before she decided to set up her own exotics specialist referral practice in Singapore. Dr Rina has also presented at multiple national and international exotic pet conferences in the US, Korea and Singapore and she has published many scientific articles including in the Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine and author in exotic pet textbooks.
