Yaiza graduated at the University of Madrid and then moved to the UK to undertake specialist training. She gained her ECVIM Diploma in Small Animal Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2018 en followed it up with a PhD in Feline Diabetes at The Royal Veterinary College. After spending several years there as an Internal Medicine Lecturer, she moved with her family to The Netherlands, where she currently works. Yaiza has co-created Veterinary Specialist Consultations, a company focusing in providing high quality, dynamic educational and mentoring content and programs for veterinarians globally, including a Virtual Veterinary Internship, co-developed with The Veterinary Information Network.
